Apartments and Residences in Nisporto
On the island of Elba, in the municipality of Rio nell'Elba, there is the beach of Nisporto.
The beach, which measures approximately 220 meters in length and in some sections reaches 20 meters in width, is made up of pebbles of different colors, small pebbles and sand.
The beach is set in a particular looking bay; it is also surrounded by an enchanting cliff, and by virtue of its conformation it is mainly exposed to winds from the north and north-east.
The beach in its western part consists of a stony bottom, while in its central part it slopes gently towards the sea, thus allowing bathing more suitable for children.
A peculiarity of this beach is given by the presence, on the western part, of the ruins of an old furnace built in stone with red bricks, which was used to cook the limestone of the mountain to churn out the lime, which in the past was ferried with row boats up in Portoferraio.
Nisporto beach is one of the few beaches that can be reached by land from the municipality of Rio nell'Elba; the location is recommended for those who are looking for tranquility, not giving up the wild beauty that nature has to offer.
On the beach there are accommodation facilities such as bars and restaurants. For tourists it is possible to rent deckchairs and umbrellas, pedal boats and other small boats. Note also the presence of a lane reserved for the landing of small boats. The beach is equipped to welcome the disabled.
A little further south of the Punta di Nisporto there is a small cave, which can also be reached using a pedal boat, which protects a small beach made up of gravel.
Several areas for car parking are present along the road that leads to the beach.
