Fetovaia

In the heart of the Costa del Sole, in the southwestern part of Elba, lies Fetovaia. Protected by a promontory covered with Mediterranean scrub that extends for 800 meters, the beach of Fetovaia, made up of fine golden sand of granite origin, is about 200 meters long. The turquoise and crystalline water makes Fetovaia one of the most popular and loved beaches by tourists who stay on the Island of Elba. Thanks to its gently sloping seabed, it is one of the most popular places for families with children. The beach of Fetovaia, thanks to the shelter offered by Monte Cenno behind it and its "tip", is protected from almost all winds. For this reason, the transparent waters that bathe this real paradise are often calm and therefore perfect for a pedal boat excursion inside its bay. The beach offers its visitors free stretches that alternate with bathing establishments which provide customers with umbrellas, sunbeds as well as excellent restaurants-bars located directly on the beach. There is a bathing establishment equipped with facilities for the disabled: umbrella with more space available, equipped bathroom and showers, job chair and wooden platforms to comfortably reach the shore. Fetovaia is located about 10 km from Marina di Campo and it is possible to reach it directly by car using the small public car park or the larger private car parks with daily rates, or by using public transport. Those who prefer a quieter place to relax can take one of the paths above the beach of Fetovaia which lead to a series of large and smooth granite slabs ideal for sunbathing. A few minutes drive from Fetovaia, we recommend visiting the beaches of Seccheto and Cavoli, certainly among the most famous and preferred by tourists who choose the Island of Elba as a destination for their next holidays.
