BEACH It is about 400 meters from the mixed sandy beach of Saint Francois. Uncrowded even in the summer months, it frames the citadel with its golden beach and the gently sloping seabed. Countless coves are set in a fairytale setting along the road that runs along the northern side of the Gulf of Ajaccio. Once at the Punta della Parata you can enjoy the splendid view of the Sanguinaires Islands, so called because at sunset the granite rocks are tinged with red. Proceeding towards the southern side of the gulf you can reach wide sandy beaches: Ricanto, Porticcio, Agosta and many others.
